My heart, my lens

"Great photography is about the depth of feeling, not the depth of field."

The pursuit of authentic beauty

Born in Kansas, grew up in the heart of Missouri. The outdoors wasn't just a place you visited, but a way of life. Some of my earliest memories are of being out on the water or tucked away into the woods with my dad. I like to say I could fish before I could talk, and honestly, that's not far from the truth. We spent so much time camping and fishing together, especially places like Pomme De Terre, and those moments shaped the way I see the world more than anything else.

As I got older, that connection never faded, it just evolved. I found myself wanting to capture not just the beauty of the wild, but the way people experience it together. My photography is rooted in that sense of nostalgia and connection. I'm inspired by the way the outdoors turns ordinary moments into something cinematic. Golden light, open air, and the feeling of being far from everything else. It all creates a sense of romance. I try to capture that atmosphere, where connection feels effortless, and time slows down.
